Modeler's Notes
Working with Resin vs. Plastic
This kit is unique because it combines standard injection-molded plastic (the car) with cast resin (the figure). Note that Resin requires Super Glue (CA Glue) to assemble; standard plastic cement will not work on the figure.
Additionally, resin parts should be washed in warm, soapy water before priming to remove any "mold release agents" that might prevent paint from sticking.
The Builder's Checklist
- Tools: You will need a hobby knife (X-Acto), plastic cement, and CA glue (for the figure).
- Paint: Semi-gloss black is standard for the body, but don't forget silvers/gunmetals for the turbine and guns.
- Assembly: Build sub-assemblies (cockpit, engine) first, paint them, then install into the main chassis.
