Hand-Crafted Engraved Bamboo Boards (Decor & Serving Collection)
Hand-Crafted Engraved Bamboo Collection
A personal note from Chad:
I'm not a fan of kitchen decor that just "sits there." I want things that are useful, funny, or both. That's why I started engraving these bamboo boards in my shop. Whether you need a Conversion Chart to save a recipe, a Grill Guide that measures cooking time in "Beers," or just a cute "Grandma's Kitchen" sign, I make each of these one-by-one with laser precision.
These are made from genuine, eco-friendly Bamboo—harder than maple and better for the planet.

Expert Voice: Why Bamboo?
Technically, bamboo is a grass, not a wood, but it scores roughly 1,380 on the Janka Hardness Scale—making it harder than Oak and Maple. This makes it:
- Scar Resistant: Resists deep knife grooves where bacteria hide.
- Water Resistant: Less likely to rot than softwood, though hand-washing is still mandatory.
- Precision Engraving: The laser "carbonizes" the bamboo fibers, creating a natural dark contrast without using chemical dyes or inks.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. They are laser burned into the bamboo fibers. The design will never peel, flake, or wash off because it is literally part of the wood.
You can, but cutting directly over the laser engraving might wear down your knife or the design over time. We recommend chopping on the blank backside and displaying the front side.
Mostly! We have sweet "Nana's Kitchen" boards and some saucy "Bitchin in the Kitchen" options. Please verify the design text in the photos before ordering for gifts!
